Is God all Knowing?
God har created everything by saying his Word and he knows everything. Does it mean that he does not accept any new and constructive thinking that might make life a little better to us? No, rather it was humans that wanted to be like God, that made such resistance as they hided for God, when they heard him walking in the garden. But God’s plan was that they should live in society with him, so that they might experience that he did his work with them, generation after generation. This is still his intension, so he still calls for them to come into society with him. That’s what the gospel of Christ is about.
God created by his Word, then he looked after it.
The story of the six days when God created goes like this, he said something, it happened, he watched it and saw it was good. So it was also the sixth day when he created animals on earth and humans. As creator he knew what he wanted to create, then he just said it and it happened. Then he checked it and got to know it this way also.
In the second creation history God also did his work, he told Adam what they should do and what they were not allowed to do. Eva was tempted to do what they were not allowed to, she ate from the tree that gave knowledge of good and bad and gave Adam with her and he also ate. It gave them a wrong way of thinking, so that they became ashamed of themselves and hided away when they heard God walking in the garden.
How can we look up to God and be glad?
But Abraham believed God so that God declared him righteous and blessed him. And the Jews were told to turn to him and be glad, let their face shine in joy. Then their face will never cover in shame.
But they turned away from him and then their sin divided them from him. God remembered it and they remembered it and that was their problem. Their offers for sin was not good enough to change that, it served just as a symbol of what came in the new covenant. With one sin-offer Jesus took away the sin once and for all, with that sin-offer he has once and for always made those perfect who is sanctified. He forgives sin so that he forgets about it and that makes the difference, for he gives them something new to think about instead (Psalm103,3&12 Jesaja 38,17).
In the communion the bread symbolizes Jesus’ body and the wine symbolizes Jesus’ blood. Jesus said they should remember him in this way. His blood cleans us from sin and his body is the bread of life (Joh.6,63). He is the new nature, the last Adam, that is from heaven and for us has become a life-giving spirit. We didn’t meet him here on earth, so we can’t remember him this way. But the Holy Spirit reveals Gods Word for us and reveal and glorifies him for us as our savior and Lord. So we can remember him this way. The point is that God creates us in Christ and then he creates us in his image.
Israel in the Persian time.
In the Persian time the Israelis could return to their country and started to rebuild the temple (520 BC). Neighbouring people accused them at the great king in Persia and hindered their work. The prophet Zachariah encouraged them, with messages from God. In a prophetic view he saw the Devil accusing Josva, the high priest, but an angel told Josva and his associates that they were symbols of what was to come, God’s servant “the Branch” should come. That is Jesus. Only the high priest could go into the most holy place in the temple and only once a year, first with sin-offer for himself, then for the people. And this serves just as a symbol of what was to come, with one offer Jesus took away the sin once and for all. He went into the most holy place in heaven and made way for us, that we may come after him. This we can read about in the Hebrews. One point is to approach the throne of grace with confidence, to receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. When we get help, we become able to help others. Jesus is the bread that came down from heaven, to give the world life, the word he spoke was spirit and life. This is perfect and it is new to the world.
The foolish shepherd.
Zachariah prophesied about a hard time to come, when the incompetent shepherd pastured the flock of sheep to be slaughtered and those who sold them became rich and praised the Lord for it (Zachariah 11). This is about the Greek-Syrian time, under Antiochus 4. Epiphanes it was terribly hard, this Daniel had already prophesied (Dan.11). The incompetent shepherd got rid of three shepherds, surely to replace them. Later it is said that he sold the Lord for 30 silver pieces. It is a prophesy of Judas who betrayed Jesus. Then it is said that the Lord said to somebody: “Take again the equipment of a foolish shepherd …. Then it’s said that he does not care for them, but he eats the meat of the sheeps and tears off their hoofs. Woe to the worthless shepherd, who leaves the flock. In the old covenant they had the circumcision, the point was that they should obey the Law. It was done on the man’s body, the point surely was that when he wanted a women it was God sake too. Apostle Paul said that the point was to be circumcised in the heart by the Hole Spirit and this was by faith in Christ, so it was for gentiles too. We got the Spirit by faith in Christ, for free, without any claim of doing anything, therefor we shall not be circumcised on the body. For we are already circumcised in the heart by the Holy Spirit (Rom.2,25-29 Col.2,9-15). The Spirit is a seal that shows that we belong to him, that is to be saved. And it is a deposit of our heritage. Jesus is the good shepherd and he enables us by giving us spirit and life (Joh.6,63 & Joh.10.1….). But the Jewish leaders did not accept this and claimed that they should be circumcised. Apostle Paul said that they were already circumcised in the Spirit and that was enough. If somebody claims more it is like cutting off more and then the hurt themselves, but that not really the point. So they will become disabled instead of enabled. So the foolish shepherd disables them. Actually, what happens nowadays? Many gentiles circumcise, even girls, but this we don’t find in the Bible at all. Many changes sex, really? No, that is determined by their genes. What they really do is to make themselves sexually disabled. Why? Certainly because the foolish shepherd disables them.
Jesus is the mediator between God and humans in the new covenant. But be prepared for the foolish shepherd again.
Moses was a mediator between God and man and he prophesied that there should come a prophet as a mediator between God and man like he had been, this is Jesus, he is the mediator of the new covenant. But in the catholic Church they started to think that Christ was so strict that the people needed the pope as mediator between him and them. Like this they needed the priests and the catholic saints too even though those “saints” were dead, so this became more like praying to the dead, despite this was not allowed according to the old covenant. We can compare this by when the serpent asked the women if God really didn’t let them eat from any of the trees in the garden. She gave a correct answer to that, but this is like giving a wrong answer to it, so it is more like after the fall of sin, when they were locked out of the garden. This does not suit to the childhood at our Fathers house we get by faith in Jesus, where we as God’s children could come to him with all our needs and wishes. What’s really the point in this? Likely to replace us and our needs and wishes by them and their needs and wishes. So it is like the foolish shepherd who pastured the flock of sheep to be slaughtered and those who sold them became rich and praised the Lord for it (Zachariah 11).
When Jesus died he left the Christians with a testament and nobody can change that.
Friedrich Nietzsche (1844-1900) considered Christianity as a slave-moral, but after God’s death morals can be considered as a human invention and a result of experience and history. In this situation humans are destined to create themselves. It surely refers to that Jesus died on the cross. But then he left his children with a testament that shows their heritage. The true and living God rose him from the dead and set him with his right hand side in heaven. And he sent them the Holy Spirit and it is like a seal that shows that they belong to him and it is as a deposit of their heritage. If somebody tries to replace this testament or change it, and thereby squeeze out any of God’s children and replace them, so they shall not get these rights according to the testament, it must be regarded as corruption, injustice and criminality. How then? When a child comes to his Father and asks him for something, how can anyone come and push it away and say they want this instead of him or her? Pretending as if they shall speak on behalf of him and/or her, but then to change it to something else. In this way they sell them like slaves and somebody earns money this way and becomes rich and even praise the Lord for it. Nowadays it appears to be quite a lot of this in the churches and in the policy, in the democracies, so it seems like the foolish shepherd starts to talk like an idiot on behalf of you, to mock you as if you are just “stupid child”, what an idiot, just because he does not accept you to be able to talk for yourself. But this is not how churches and democracies should function.
The world of ideas and heaven. The problem of eval.
Plato believed in a world of perfect ideas with the good idea. The soul was there initially and had good insight in the world of ideas. But when it came to this material world, it lost much of this insight. That’s how he explained the problem of eval.
The world of ideas suits to God’s heaven and the good idea suits to Gods Word. The Bible explains the problem of eval this way, that after the fall of sin, the sin divided humans from God.
But with one offer for sin, Jesus took away the sin once and for all. With the one offer he has once and for all made those perfect who are made holy (Hebrews.9,26&28 10,10&14). We are made holy with God’s Word and God’s Spirit. God is perfect, Jesus is perfect and his work of salvation is fulfilled and perfect. He gives us life and Spirit from heaven and it is perfect. Jesus is God’s Word, the Holy Spirit reveals and glorifies him for us as our savior and Lord.
God and his Word is perfect, so this functions well together with mathematics. By faith we understand that God created everything by his word, so that what is visible is made out of what is invisible. That’s why the nature is understandable. God created humans in his image, that’s why we are able to understand.
Jesus is perfect, he carries me so he gives me support in my mathematical and logical thinking.
Rene Descartes was a mathematician who also believed in the perfect and I’m thinking in a similar way. But I’ll clearify that I get the Holy Spirit by faith in Jesus of mere grace. And it reveals Jesus for me and he makes the know the Father. I can compare my faith with the axioms in mathematical analysis, they are simple, like the existence of 0 and 1. But with what is deduced from it, it includes quite a lot. Then I use mathematical logics, “modus ponens”. Similarly my faith in Christ gives me quite a lot, by reading God’s Word and let the Holy Spirit reveal it for me. Like I can deduce something from the axioms in mathematics, I can deduce something from my faith in Christ, but then I also think with my heart and that is different from thinking with the brain. Jesus gave me life and spirit from heaven, the life was planted in my heart by Gods Word and his love was poured into my heart with the Holy Spirit. I believe by my heart, so I know by my heart, I have got wisdom from God in my heart. An important point to me here, is that I continue to use mathematical logics on what is said only by words. We believe something an it gets consequences for us, this I compare to mathematical deduction. We believe that Jesus is perfect and with one offer he has made those perfect who are made holy. His perfectness and holiness gets interned in us with the spirit and live he gives us from heaven.
God reconciled the world with himself when he let Jesus die on the cross instead of us. On that foundation I let myself reconcile with him, in this way I will get harmony between heart and brain, body and soul. I believe in God and his Word by my heart at the same time as I think mathematics and natural science with my brain. I shall seek Christ and believe in him and love him with all of my heart. That makes me wise in hearth, so that it is fruitful to my brain also.
I choose to turn to Jesus and bless him, in this way I am blessed. That’s why I become a blessing and so I say to them: May God bless you.
Jesus is God’s Son and makes him known to us.
In ancient time many people believed that the celestial bodies were gods. They made gods from sticks and stones and worshipped them. But the prophets in the Bible told the people that it was not gods, those gods that did not create heaven and earth were not gods. God created it by his Word, so that what is visible is made of what is not visible. This was not so easy to understand and accept at that time, but now we know that this suits to science.
God said to his people through his prophets that they can know he is the only right God, because he talks to them, he tells what will happen and it happens and he saves. They killed him, but the true and living God made him alive again, rose him for the dead and set him by his right hand side in heaven. He makes his church alive and does same kind of wonders trough it.
God reconciled the world with himself when he let Jesus die on the cross instead of us. Nowadays God does wonders.
I use to go to free churches where there happen to come messages as translations of “speak in tongues” and once I had written about this the Lord spoke to me in this way and said I was loved by a three times Holy God. So I understood it this way, that the Fader, Son and Holy Spirit me who trying to understand, loves me in my trying to understand.
For many decades I have visited such living churches and Jesus has talked to me trough the speech and trough translations of speak in tongues. Once and economist was the speaker and he also translated a speak in tongues. He also told that he was healed from cystic fibrosis and heart attack. Cystic fibrosis is a gene disease, people get sicker and sicker and then they die, maybe the get little more than 30 years by good treatment. But he was quite healthy and more than 50 years old. This was so special that I wrote about it in my blog.
Some years later he had got cancer and they prayed for him to be healed again. They had the meeting on youtube and I wrote about it in my blog again. Many called the leading of the church and told them that they didn’t like this. They called him too and this was troublesome to him and came in addition to his illness. This time he was not healed and died of cancer about 60 years old.
These telephone calls were like protesting against healing by prayer. Surly they argued on the basement of science, but scientific interest was not really the point. They wished him not to be healed and what was the point in that?
If scientific interests were the point, then they would have liked to gene-sequence him to find out what really had happened. Were genes changed or was the reading of the genes changed or what? I suggest the genes were changed and it would have been interesting to verify it.
So it happens that people are healed by prayer. Nowadays there are many such witnesses. I mean this is interesting to science and nature philosophy. If somebody says it is not true, then it is a lie. But the purpose of science is to say the truth!
Values and entropy.
