A few years ago it was discovered that the expansion of the universe accelerated. What about the fine-tuning then?
Saul Perlmutter leaded a research team that studied supernova and they found that the expansion of the universe accelerates. For this he won the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2011. This gave rise to the hypothesis of dark energy, but it is a strange name for it, for energy and mass are two sides of the same matter, following the famous equation of Einstein: E=m*c*c.
In an interview on “Closer to Truth”, on youtube, he was asked if the universe must have consiousness, a God who is behind it, as an explanation for the fine-tuning of the universe. As an example of fine-tuning, he replies that the balance between the repulsive “dark energy” and the contracting mass is so fine-tuned that if it were random, the chance is like 1 versus 1 with 120 zeros behind.
The entropical argument is that there may be so many universes, but we observe that which provided the foundation for life and which we actually live in.
Or maybe there’s a theory of everything (TOE) that might explain that the universe had to become like this, maybe it can be written mathematically?

But either way, it can be explained by the belief that God has created everything with his Word.
In the second creation history, Genesis.2, it is told that the earth was dry without life. Then God let there come a spring of water to water the soil and then he created the man from the soil and blew the spirit of life into his nose, so that he became a living soul. God planted the garden and said to the man that he should cultivate it and protect it. God let him fall asleep and then he created the women out of his rib, so that she should be a help that suited to him. When the man woke up, he acknowledged what God had done when he was asleep, even though he was unconscious, he acknowledged it when he became conscious. This shows that God did his work with the man before he was alive and when he was unconscious, but when he was conscious he experienced that God also did his work in his surroundings. As long as they did what God had told them to, their will and their doings were in accordance to God’s will. Then they chose to do what he had told them not to do and that was bad to themselves. They were cheated. But God still did his work with the people, even thou they didn’t know it and understand it. He chose the Israel as his people and did his work with them, so they were aware of it, but did they believe? But it also told that he did his work with the peoples around them and their kings, even though they did not know him and did not understand it. But some of them came to acknowledge it.
John, the apostle, said that the law came by Moses, the mercy and faith came by Jesus. In the old testament much of the history is prophesied and it shoes that God let kingdoms arise, so he did it even though the people and their kings did not understand it and then he let it collapse because they did something wrong, mostly in the way that they did not honor him for it, but they honored their gods of stick and stones and the kings started to think that they were the gods who did it. When the Jews should rebuild the temple the prophet Zachariah said it should not happen by might nor power, but by God’s Spirit. This is a prophesy of the gospel of Jesus’ Church. It was not built by might nor power, no violence, it was Gods Spirit who did it all. God did his work with his Word and his Spirit, so that people got convinced that Christianity was right, without being forced to it by use of power. So Christianity and science have this in common, that people get convinced of what is right without use of power. But somehow Christianity is more fundamental, this we can see from the history. When I studied real sciences I got this view, that it was not only I who did my work, but it was God who did his work with me, with his Word and his Spirit. Not only with me, then, but with his church and the society. I honor the pioneers in real sciences, still I thank God for it as his work. I thank God for the whole society as his work, and real sciences are fundamental in it.
Real science and nature philosophy.
Not all of the evolution theory has been verified by experiment or observations, so it is not completely scientific. But we can call it all nature philosophy. The first living cell in the ocean and it’s reproduction they call life’s Big Bang. The ideas of how the first cell came to existence are just hypothesis.
It tells how life on earth is, also for humans, how we can expect it to bee and the next step seem obviously to be to tell us what it shall be. But then we must be a bit careful and thing of what is the difference between humans and other animals. Moreover we are about to come over to other parts of philosophy, moral and political philosophy and even religion. Well, what about creationism then, that is also philosophy. Isn’t it already a part of our metacognition?
According to the evolution theory life is a fight for survival, but is that any revolutionary news? If it applies in a time of peace, how then? If we honestly seek for truth, then it should not be necessary for anyone to use power to force somebody to say the “truth”.
When we read the history and when we read the Old Testament in the Bible we see that this is how peoples have been thinking. But they made gods of sticks and stones and asked them to help them, also in war, but that was their big mistake. When God’s people turned to other gods, he punished them, but when they repented to him and asked for help, then he helped them.
God cares for his children, including scientists.
Imagine a man and a woman get married and get their first child. They will talk to it and be glad to hear that it answers and start to talk and they will continue to talk with it. They will not say to it that what you say is wrong, you’re just talking nonsense, so you’d better shot up. No, they will continue to talk with it and it learns by practising. When it gets older it is free to talk with them and say what it thinks and means, hopefully it is not forced and restricted by any outside interest that might stop it from it and make it say something else. They will give it good answers and as it grows it will think more by itself.
The gospel tells us that everyone that receives Jesus he gives right to become children of God, born by Gods Spirit and what is born by the Spirit is spirit. God loved the world so much that he sent his only Son, so that everyone who believe in him shall not perish, but have eternal life. Jesus gives us spirit and life from heaven. By receiving it we get contact with him and our Father in heaven. In this way we get wisdom from heaven and this wisdom is quite new to the world. What is born of the Spirit is spirit, but as small children we can still say something wrong. But the Fader is perfect, Jesus is perfect and his work of salvation is fulfilled and perfect and the life and spirit he gives us from heaven is perfect. His anointing (the Holy Spirit) teaches us everything and it is right, it doesn’t fail.
So what about mathematics? I could wish I understood it better and were able to calculate better. But it is better to think this way, that I primarily thank Jesus for the salvation and his anointing and then thank God for the mathematics and that I am able to understand it and use it as much as I can.
I have learned real sciences and understand it by its methods, to formulate hypothesis, try them and find good theories this way. I see that this is consistent with my right to become Gods child and live in childhood in my Fathers house and talk with him. So when I study real sciences I thank him for having created it all. It makes it more interesting to me.
Jesus said that he is the way, the truth and the life. Nobody comes to the Father in heaven without him (John.14,6). John the Baptist said about him that he is Gods Lamb that carries the world’s sin, that’s to say to be offered as a sin-offer. Jesus knew it and told it to his disciples. In Gethsemane he prayed to his Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass away from me, but only according to your will, not mine. So it was God’s will that he should “take that cup”; die on the cross. The gospel is that he died instead of each and every one of us.
How to understand it? Moses told the people that they should regard themselves as Gods children. He talked about the Rock, fulfilled is his work, his ways are always right. A faithful God, without betrayal, righteous and fair is he (Deuteronomy 32,4…). King David praised the Lord that he took him out of the mud and set his feet on the Rock. This Rock is the gospel of Jesus, it is Jesus.
Abraham believed God, that’s why God declared him righteous and promised him that in him all peoples should be blessed. This promise is fulfilled in Christ, by believing that hi rose from the dead, we become righteous for God. And by blessing him we get blessed.
Apostle Paul said that they spoke of Gods secret wisdom, a wisdom that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. Non of the rulers of that age understood it, else they had not crucified the Lord of glory (1.Corint.2,7-8). The expression “before time began” is consistant what the Big Bang theory says, that time has a beginning. We know it just because God reveals his salvation for us in Christ, so he is the only way to the Father.

Black holes and Big Bang are singularities, we get 0 in denominator and that is not allowed in mathematics, the physical laws are written on mathematical form that collapses in these singularities. Anyway we say that time-space started to expand in Big Bang, so time started in the singularity. The Bible also says that time started, what was before is called eternity, so God was in his eternal heaven before that. In the first creation history in Genesis1 it is said that in the beginning God created heaven and earth. The earth was empty and dark, but Gods Spirit hovered over the ocean. Then God said that there should be light and it became light. He called the light day and the dark he called night. Then there came 6 such “light-days” were it goes like this; God said something, it happened, he saw that it was good. Of course these are long periods of time, when God said something it could happen immediately and I believe this is how the first living cell in the ocean was made. It could also take a lot of time, so he created by his Word in development. Then he left it for itself and just watched over it. Then it might develop by itself, he just looked after that it was good. Then there came a night and what’s the meaning of that? I think it means that it was left even more to itself.
John, the apostle, said that in the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning, trough him all tings were made. In him was life and life was the light for humans (John.1,1…).

Yes, and even when we believe that Jesus is the way to the Father and we walk it, we may go wrong, but in the Old Testament it is told that then you shall hear a voice behind you that tells you that this is the way. The Holy Spirit functions like that in living Christian Churches. Apostle John said that the anointing Jesus gives us teaches us everything and it does not feil, 1.Joh.2,27. What an insurance to anyone who honestly seek the truth?
Jesus is Gods Word, he talks to us and hears our praying, he saves and heals. We praise him and thank him for it.
For many decades I have visited such living churches and Jesus has talked to me through the speech and trough translations of speak in tongues. Once and economist was the speaker and he also translated a speak in tongues. He also told that he was healed from cystic fibrosis and heart attack. Cystic fibrosis is a gene disease, people get sicker and sicker and then they die, maybe the get little more than 30 years by good treatment. But he was quite healthy and more than 50 years old. This was so special that I wrote about it in my blog. Some years later he had got cancer and they prayed for him to be healed again. They had the meeting on youtube and I wrote about it in my blog again. Many called the leading of the church and told them that they didn’t like this. They called him too and this was troublesome to him and came in addition to his illness. This time he was not healed and died of cancer about 60 years old. These telephone calls were like protesting against healing by prayer. Surly they argued on the basement of science, but scientific interest was not really the point. They wished him not to be healed and what was the point in that? If scientific interests were the point, then they would have liked to gene-sequence him to find out what really had happened. Were genes changed or were the reading of the genes changed or what? I suggest the genes were changed and it would have been interesting to verify it. So it happens that people are healed by prayer. Nowadays there are many such witnesses. I mean this is interesting to science and nature philosophy. If somebody says it is not true, then it is a lie. But the purpose of science is to say the truth!
Well, I asked about the scientific interest to acknowledge what had happened and to verify it, but it was not such interests that appeared. Surely they claimed it to bee, but that was not the point. Humans sin divided them from God, but by one offer Jesus took it away. On that foundation we come to him, by faith in Christ we got the Holy Spirit from Heaven for free, without doing anything for it. And it does wonders among us. This we honor him for. God does wonders among us and in this way he shows that he is the creator. So we prise him as God, the creator. This is the right explanation.

I have recorded such messages for many years and laid them on my blog-site . This church started to record whole meetings and put them on their website just a few years ago. Then his name was mentioned and it became troublesome because of “telephone-terror”. He had been a living evidence for healing by prayer for many decades, but that was not interesting to them. This is not a scientific approach and it shows that it is not really scientific interests that is behind it.
Fake imitations of God’s work. But there is only one God and no one can do like he does.
It seems like they produce face news instead. Some years ago it was written about “Snåsamannen” in Norwegian newspapers, he was an old, ordinary member of the official Christian Church in Norway and was said to have healing power, “warm hands”. Many went to his home to be healed. I found this strange, especially because some decades earlier some of these papers had protested against the charismatic movement. But I didn’t mind to read this.
Then a professor in biology (KG) wrote a book called “Snåsakoden” (the Snåsa code) were he wrote that there were many cases that people reported healing by prayer, but it didn’t seem to have occurred. “The snåsa code” is that since the newspapers had reported this very much alternative medicine was accepted both by the government and the people, but he would only accept “school-medicine”. Much of this alternative medicine was so stupid that to read about would be most for entertainment.
I became a friend of him on facebook and there was much interesting discussion, I participated in some of it. After a while he could show a video where Snåsamannen acknowledged that, no, people don’t get healed by prayer. How could he know? It seems like he had tried. Honestly?
Some of this alternative medicine came from China and on his fb-site he showed articles telling that China wanted Chinese traditional medicine to become accepted by World Health Organization. Of course he was against this and there were not many who disagreed with him. And it was very strange that it became accepted by WHO, that is a defeat for WHO and for nature science. So again other interests than scientific claim to be scientific and when it is accepted, natural sciences loose.
I can’t even tell if you’re making an argument for anything in particular. Could you sum up your point? Talking about medicine and newspapers does nothing to get you any closer to proving a god exists.
We seek God on the foundation of the gospel and pray to him, that is not a scientific method, so we don’t call it science, especially not natural/real science. The scientific experiment is repeatable, this is not repeatable in that sense. Why? Because God does it and there is no other god that can do like he does. We can pray for healing, but we can’t tell in advance when or if he will heal or when it is our turn to die, but he has given us eternal life and we will survive death like he did. And when he heals somebody, we know it afterwords and honor him for it. What is repeated in science? The rationality in real sciences and that we don’t see with our eyes, but with our minds, we may understand it. We believe in God and his Word even though we don’t see it with our eyes, so it is our rationality like the rationality in real sciences. But God is spirit, so he and his Word and his kingdom is a spiritual reality. When we seek him on the foundation of the gospel, he touches us and that makes the difference. We get sanctified by God’s Word and his Spirit and to me this fits very well with my insight in mathematics. It is a fine-tuning I can compare to the fine-tuning of the universe. Can real sciences grab this? May bee, if you look for something more than what is repeatable. What happens for example when you go out and meet other people and talk with them, how much of this is repeatable? Exactly nothing.

Nature philosophy, platonism and Christianity. Fake gods and the true and living God.
The ancient Greek nature philosophers asked what might be the elements nature consisted of and what force or spirit might be in it and trigged changes towards a goal. Then the philosophy became more moral and political, where they asked what would be right according to God or nature. There was little democracy. Socrates went out and talked with people and said the truth was interned in him in such conversations and made him happy. But there was a revolt against him that demanded him to be executed. Surely this was arranged by the “educated” upper class. Platon called it murder and concluded that a well educated elite must rule with dictatorship.
So common people have become too stupid and eval to participate, but it is very much because the “educated” upper class has made them disabled to participate, because they worshipped gods made of sticks and stone and tried to get power over the people by such gods. But Israel’s God had long ago told his people that such gods were not gods. Those gods that did not create heaven and earth, were not gods. They did not have spirit, they did not see, hear or talk, they did nothing. The people did not get any help from them and did not learn anything from them.

This showed that they were not able to take part in democracy. But the main problem was that the upper class had made them disabled by their teaching. They worshipped the stars and planets as gods and gods made from stick sand stones and that teaching made the people stupid.
But the prophets in the Old Testament told the people that this were not gods. They prophesied about Jesus and when he came to them, he blessed the children and said to his disciples that they should let them come to him, because the kingdom of heaven belongs to such ones. He told the people to repent and become like children, so that they could come into the kingdom of heaven (Matt.18,3 19,14-15).
He knew he was going to be executed and told it to his disciples and said that he would not leave them like fatherless children. After he rose from the dead he told them to wait in Jerusalem for what should be given them from heaven. He had told them to bring the gospel to all peoples and when the Holy Spirit was sent to them from heaven, it enabled them to it, so they went out and preached to the people.
As we live in society with God and are enabled by listening to his word and being filled by the Holy Spirit we become enabled to participate in the human society, go to school, university and study real sciences and take part in conversations and discussions.
Then we may realize that there seem to emerge something strange, like a new kind of elite that claim very much of the people not to be qualified to take part in the discussion and in the society and the democratic process, even though it is a democracy? How could this come to be?
If I for example go out to meet other people and talk with them, we can talk about daily life, what happens around us, we can talk about politics, sciences, Christianity, religion … I can talk like Socrates or more like Jesus’s disciples did.
Maybe somebody come and say to me that I must prove what I say, as if it should qualify like science. But according to Karl Popper a scientific theory can’t be proven, but by experiments and observations it may be tested and proved to be wrong. But when you go out and meet other people and talk with them, how much of this is repeatable? Exactly nothing. This shows that the claim of proof makes people psychological and socially disabled, more like the fake gods did. Luckily the law set strict restrictions not allowing research on humans and when you go out and meet other people you don’t work as a spy, do you? So what kind of “proof” do you want? One you can use in court to get somebody punished and maybe executed? Else they are not qualified to talk with you? This seems more like the interest from mafia that tries to corrupt the society.
The Christians should bring the gospel out to the people. But there seem to be a competing interest, to go out like a spy to report people for an elite which wants dictatorial power.
Science, nature philosophy and the two creation histories in Genesis1&2.
Parts of the evolution theory has not been verified by observation and experiments, so those parts at not really scientific, but we can call it nature philosophy. This is also the case with “many universe theory” and “many worlds theory”, this is so theoretical that it seems impossible to ever verify it, it is theory and maybe it is only theory, but it may have some meaning to the real universe and world just as theory. Who knows?
But then the creation history and creationism serves as nature philosophy also. According to the Bible God created everything by his Word and he looked after it as he created until he saw that it was good, step by step, day bay day, six “light-days”. So this explains the fine-tuning. Then there came a different creation history in Genesis 2, in the first one life started in the ocean, but in this one it starting with dry ground that became wet, then God created man of the wet soil, God is spirit and he blew his spirit into his nose, so that he became a living soul. He became conscious of that he lived in society with God that is spirit and so he got to experience that God did his work with him and his surroundings. So by faith in God he got fine-tuning from God inside, in heart and mind.
In a similar way we get fine-tuning by faith in Christ, for now he is the last Adam, who is from heaven and who for us has become a life-giving spirit. We get sanctified by God’s Word and Spirit, in this way we get fine-tuned for eternity and for this life on earth also.
How could science acknowledge such fine-tuning? Hardly by claiming that science shall be verified by repeatable experiments, contrary fine-tuning is by definition something that hardly is repeated. And if the God who has created everything does something, no “god” can do like he does.
Wouldn’t he care about what he created? He loved the world so much, that he sent his only Son, so that everyone who believe in him shall not perish, but have eternal life. Everyone who received him he gave right to become Gods child. And he cares for his children and in this way he cares for his creation. That he does also by caring about scientists and science. Scientists and science need that, like any other human in their profession.
